From Overwhelm to Inner Aliveness

The Three Gateways of Embodied Healing

In a world where many of us live with a quiet hum of pressure—anxiety, numbness, exhaustion, or a sense that we’ve drifted from our own aliveness—healing can seem confusing or out of reach.

In this free live gathering, psychotherapist and spiritual teacher Matt Licata will guide you through three essential gateways that appear in every genuine process of transformation:
felt safety in the body, compassionate presence in the heart, and the imaginal life of the soul.

Drawing from depth psychology, trauma studies, somatic practice, alchemy, and contemplative traditions, Matt will share a grounded and experiential approach to healing that honors the body’s intelligence, restores inner warmth, and reawakens imagination as a source of meaning.

You’ll leave with both inspiration and simple practices you can use anytime—to reconnect with yourself, soften the overwhelm of daily life, and meet your inner world with more tenderness, curiosity, and depth.

What We’ll Explore

1. Safety & Regulation – How the nervous system becomes the alchemical vessel for transformation—why healing is impossible without felt safety, and how to restore it through contact, breath, and gentle embodied awareness.

2. Presence & Compassion – How to shift from analyzing or managing your inner life to relating to it—learning to meet anxiety, shame, and grief with warmth so they can soften, unfold, and integrate.

3. The Imaginal & the Soul – How dreams, symbols, images, and subtle inner figures become living companions in healing, and why imagination is essential for meaning, creativity, and deep spiritual renewal.

You’ll Learn How To…

  • Soothe and regulate your nervous system when you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected.
  • Recognize the difference between cognitive safety and felt safety—and why this distinction is central to healing.
  • Bring warmth and compassionate presence to difficult emotions so they can unfold rather than tighten or collapse.
  • Shift from “fixing” or “improving” yourself into an embodied relationship with your experience.
  • Work with shame, fear, and early attachment patterning in ways that are gentle, non-pathologizing, and deeply honoring.
  • Open to imaginal dialogue—engaging inner images, symbols, and dreams as sources of guidance and soul-connection.
  • Reconnect the three dimensions of transformation—body, heart, and imagination—so your healing becomes creative, embodied, and whole.

You’ll also receive access to additional teachings and reflections from Matt, including a recorded Q&A where he responds to common questions about the Spirituality & Healing Inner Work Group.
